PORTRAIT

We no longer need to introduce Jean-Paul Goude, the genius graphic designer, illustrator, photographer, and director of advertising films. But above all the image creator, who knew how to invent a style, an atmosphere or even a whole universe mixing creativity, humor and sexuality. Jean-Paul Goude started working for charming magazines,Lui& from the time before being literally discovered by the editor of Esquire Harold Hayes who offered him an artistic director position. Fascinated by Irving Penn or Richard Avedon, Jean-Paule Goude knew how to share his sense of aesthetics.

Now his advertising films with saturated colors, exacerbated exoticism and geometric alignments have become cult. He was able to impose his style on the world stage by photographing the most varied models and artists. In 2012, he was elevated to the rank of Commander of Arts and Letters at the age of 74.
